What we roast right now
Six origins on the shelf today. Each one has a guide if you want the long version.
| Origin | Lot | Tastes like |
|---|---|---|
| Ethiopia | Limu heirloom, washed | Jasmine and stone fruit, the reference point for bright coffee. |
| Colombia | Three lots: anaerobic Sidra, Gesha, and a Swiss Water decaf | The widest range we carry from one country. |
| Ecuador | Sidra, washed | The variety that wins competitions, from the highlands it started in. |
| El Salvador | Pacamara | A large-bean variety grown on volcanic soil, sweet and syrupy. |
| Brazil | Yellow Catuai | Cocoa and roasted nut. The one that suits milk and espresso. |
| Sumatra | Mandheling | Earthy and full bodied, the heaviest cup on the shelf. |
Buying coffee in Richmond
Where can I buy freshly roasted coffee beans in Richmond?
From our roastery on Mitchell Road, or online for delivery. We roast to order rather than to stock, so a bag leaves the building days after it comes off the roaster, not months.
Can I pick up an order in Richmond?
Yes. Order online, choose pickup, and collect it at the roastery Monday to Thursday between 9 AM and 5 PM. There is no minimum and no pickup fee.
Do you deliver coffee in Richmond?
Yes, and across Metro Vancouver: Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody. Anywhere else in Canada goes by post.
Are you a café or a roastery?
A roastery. The Mitchell Road unit is where the beans are roasted, packed and collected. There is no seating and no espresso bar, so come for beans rather than for a flat white.
How soon after roasting should I drink the coffee?
Give it three days to settle, then drink it within about six weeks. That window is why we roast to order instead of holding stock, and why the roast date is printed on every bag.
