Product Description
SALVADATIX is a single-origin El Salvador coffee from Samuel Luna’s 4-hectare Finca Luna in Chalatenango, produced with careful on-farm fermentation and slow drying for a clean, expressive cup. Chalatenango is El Salvador’s coolest, northernmost coffee region and is known for balanced coffees often showing chocolate and dark-fruit character. Grown in Chalatenango at Finca Luna, this lot comes from a small farm (~14,000 trees) where Samuel also cultivates citrus and bananas alongside coffee. Samuel uses a dry fermentation (about 14 hours) and finishes coffees as both washed and honey processes, then dries on raised African beds for roughly 18–20 days to stabilize sweetness and clarity. Ongoing support from in-country staff helps with agronomy and quality improvements as Samuel navigates challenges like roya and shifting weather patterns (including heavier rains)
