Product Description
ETHIOSYNC V1.0 is a single-origin coffee from Kayon Mountain Farm in Guji, Ethiopia—owned and operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo’s family since 2012 and spanning 500 hectares (about 300 hectares planted in coffee). Grown in southern Ethiopia’s forested Guji highlands, this coffee reflects the region’s rich red soils and high-altitude conditions that help shape its distinct fruit-forward, floral-leaning profile. Kayon Mountain Farm sits in Ethiopia’s Oromia region (Guji Zone, Shakiso district), crossing between the villages of Taro and Sewana, and produces both washed and natural lots with meticulous harvest and processing practices. The farm runs its own nursery, uses shade trees (including acacia and other indigenous species), and relies on compost-based fertility to support healthy coffee growth. Beyond quality, Kayon Mountain is also community-minded—employing a core team plus seasonal staff and supporting local infrastructure like schools and administration buildings.
