Product Description:
Sourced from nearly 950 smallholder farmers in Rwanda’s Southern Province, this washed Red Bourbon lot is processed at the Fugi Washing Station, a standout within the Baho Coffee network. Sitting between the Nyungwe National Forest and the Burundi border, Fugi is celebrated for producing clean, elegant coffees that embody the best of Rwandan terroir.

Built in 2013 and run by Emmanuel Rusatira since 2016, Fugi is focused entirely on specialty-grade production, buying cherries from small farms (with an average of 600 trees per producer) and employing rigorous quality control.

This lot underwent Baho’s signature double fermentation process, including dry and wet fermentation stages, followed by a long soak and slow, controlled drying over 30–40 days. Early drying under shade allows for intensive visual sorting, reducing the risk of defects and enhancing cup clarity.

With flavor notes of sweet red fruit, black tea, floral aromatics, and crisp acidity, this lot offers a beautifully balanced and clean cup with a silky finish.
